In this Bonus Next Step, BELAY client Bruce Ackerman talks about the most important things you can do to create a lasting partnership with your new VA right from the start.
One of the most important things a leader can do to make the partnership with a virtual assistant a success is to set them up well for success.
Taking the time to gather passwords and document and standardize processes will save you time in the long run when you start to hand off tasks to your VA.
Remember, especially if this is the first time you’ve had an assistant, it may take a while for you to get used to working with someone instead of doing the tasks yourself again and again.
But when it comes to experiencing growth in your business, you have to think differently about how you run it. You canʼt keep doing everything on your own; you have to delegate.
When you travel, what is your preferred airline or time of day to depart?
Make it easy for your VA. As much as you can standardize and write these things down, the easier it will be for your assistant to succeed and serve you best.
Don’t expect your Virtual Assistant to be a mind reader. (Not in the beginning anyway.) Put in the time to create a successful relationship, which will lead to long-term success.
