How to Achieve Goals that Feel Impossible

Written by Tricia Sciortino | Jan 9, 2024 9:00:00 AM

Many people never reach their potential simply because they are scared and fearful about stepping out.

Jason Drees is the CEO of Jason Drees Coaching and the author of Do the Impossible: Unlock Your Full Potential with the Power of Mindset. He’s an expert in helping people change their lives by changing the way they think.

In this episode, we talk about how everyone can cultivate a mindset that allows them to be more successful and fulfilled. He’s incredibly confident that anyone can achieve goals they once thought were impossible.

Here are some takeaways:

1. Life doesn't reward mediocrity.

If you’re not playing at the level you’re supposed to be playing at, you won’t be successful. Otherwise, you start shooting for lower targets, which brings lower results, which limits your growth and ability to achieve.

Life's responses can be unpredictable – sometimes favoring us, other times presenting challenges. In the coaching realm, action takes center stage. We often focus on incessant action, driven by the belief that it leads to results. Yet, in the pursuit of action, we sometimes find ourselves lost without a clear strategy.

This leads to a cycle of chasing strategies derived from mindset, where thinking plays a pivotal role. It's a constant quest for effective strategies to improve actions and achieve desired outcomes.

2. You have a mindset full of beliefs based on past experiences and social conditioning.

Jason doesn’t help people do the impossible but he helps them remove their resistance to it happening. Most people move forward based on what they did in the past.

Your perception of reality is made up of an infinite number of frames, so if you’re excited about what I’m talking about, but you only believe it 80%, that means you have a frame that’s contradicting it can really work.

3. Your mind and your previous patterns of success is the limiting factor to your future success.

For example, most people don’t grow their income because they’re living in a frame where that doesn’t happen. They have limiting beliefs that limit their success.

Your brain is a machine that’s a calculator and it’s constantly comparing everything you’ve done in the past with everything you’re doing now.

The framework to create success in whatever you want is to move into an aligned frame and follow the process of life.

Learn how to achieve goals that feel impossible. Wouldn’t that be a great gift in the new year?
