Jonathan Bayreuther didn’t set out to become a marketer.
As CEO of Veitas Engineers, a growing structural engineering firm, Jonathan had built his business on technical expertise and steady growth. But as the firm scaled, so did the demands of visibility.
“Well, like a lot of engineers, I went from designing buildings to needing to do this development and marketing as my role increased,” he said. “That very outward-facing type of marketing is not my strong suit. It’s just not me. So it became very apparent that I needed some help.”
Jonathan explored his options by meeting with a few local candidates who had some marketing experience, but nothing quite clicked. He needed more than just help with tasks. He needed strategic support.
That’s when he found BELAY.
“Having someone go through the process of understanding who we are and what we needed, and then matching us up with the right person with the right background and experience… somebody who knew what they were doing and could just really jump right in — that was huge.”
That’s how Jonathan described Faith, his BELAY Marketing Assistant
Meet Faith: A Marketer Who Gets It
Faith brought over 20 years of marketing experience to the table along with a deep understanding of Jonathan’s industry and marketing needs.
“I think Veitas was looking for consistency,” Faith said. “Someone who understood their brand voice and goals, but also someone who could implement that in a human, approachable way — sifting through all the gimmicks.”
She began by diving into research. She audited the Veitas website, analyzed social performance, evaluated customer feedback, and studied competitors and aspirational brands alike. Then, she built a full-scale marketing plan designed to scale from the current year into 2026.
And she didn’t wait to be told what to do.
“I needed someone to come to me with a plan,” Jonathan shared. “That has been by far the best thing with Faith. She walks into each weekly meeting with an agenda, clear decisions she needs from me, and then just runs with it. I don’t necessarily know the steps myself, so I can’t really guide her on what the next thing needs to be.”
Her expertise has proven invaluable, not just in executing strategy, but in ensuring Veitas is positioned for long-term success. Drawing from her years of experience, Faith brings a clear perspective on what modern marketing really requires.
“Marketing is the way you stay at the front of mind for your clients,” said Faith. “Even when they don't need it, they're looking for someone, and you almost have to build that trust well before it's ever time for a client to commit… Every company needs a strong marketing foundation because you need to be evolving.
“Your resources need to be evolving. 10 years ago, print marketing was maybe enough, and now we're seeing you've got to have a digital presence, but that doesn't mean that print marketing is out.
“You need a layered approach — email, social media, print, website banners — so your audience knows for sure this is where you're locked in, this is your messaging. This is your promise.”
From Vision to Execution
Jonathan had no shortage of ideas. What he lacked was the bandwidth to act on them. Faith translated his vision into execution, and she did it quickly.
“Right now, our biggest goal was just having a layered marketing approach,” Faith explained. “We’ve already launched a drip campaign, and we’re preparing to roll out a web series by next month. We’re putting our best foot forward.”
Together, they shifted from reactive marketing to proactive momentum.
“We went from posting on LinkedIn or Instagram when I had time to a set schedule a couple times a week,” Jonathan said. “Engagement is definitely increasing, even though we’re just a couple of weeks in.”
And beyond strategy and execution, Faith brought relief.
“Well, it took a huge stress off me,” Jonathan said. “I don’t have to keep that to-do list myself. That’s enormous. It’s very reassuring — allowing me to keep doing what my primary responsibility is.”
A Partnership Built for Momentum
As for how they’ve achieved so much so quickly? They both credit the collaborative partnership.
“It’s an open communication. It’s a back and forth,” Faith said. “I have ideas, but Jonathan is the expert in the product area. Both of us working from our own respective expertise and communicating effectively — that just helped us launch even stronger and faster.”
Today, Jonathan has more margin, more consistency, and more clarity about the direction of his business, but he’s the first to admit one thing:
“I should have done it sooner.”
